Consumating\s Question of the Week

What would your personal philanthropic organization hope to achieve?

We would outbid special interest groups who make it their business to bribe politicians, thus ruining our democracy.

Then, we would urge them to pass a Constitutional amendment that made joining Consumating a requirement of all citizens.

Popularity Update

We made  a slight change in the way popularity is being calculated, as part of a bigger change to that system that is coming soon.   Now, a person's popularity is penalized for inactivity -- so people who joined the site 6 months ago and never came back (but happen to be SUPER HOT) will not dominate the popularity charts.

If you are reading this, this change means there is a good chance that your popularity just went up a few points.

Sept 10 Feature Update

Hello everyone!   We just posted a bunch of updates to the site that we're really excited about.  Before we get into too many details, we just want to say that the rate-a-date function is only gone temporarily.  We noticed that it was being used in totally different ways than what we expected, so we decided to rebuild some of the functionality in a more useful and meaningful way.   Point is, don't worry! You'll soon be able to leave comments on your friends and enemies again!

And now, the updates:

  1. The people browser has a slightly updated interface, and you can now filter the people you see by their age.    Teenaged punks.  30-year old bookworms.  Etc.
  2. The profiles have been massively overhauled, and now contain all sorts of personalized information for people who are logged in, like showing how many tags you have in common with the person, and the status of any notes you've sent.
  3. The note sending interface and inbox has been rebuilt.  Now, sending a message happens through the profile instead of through a separate email system.   All of your messages back and forth with someone are kept in one place, and the inbox keeps track of all of your conversations.  It's nifty!  Try it out.
  4. Tags are now broken into 2 sections - tags you've added to yourself and tags that other people added to you.  We thought that'd clear up some of the confusion.

There are a bunch of other little changes too, but we'll let you figure those out.

Holy Bugfix, Batman!

We just released like, a billion bug fixes.   Things should look and work better on Windows IE, and things should be a bit smoother all around.
